Throwin' Down
As many of you know, Bryant has put his God-given assets (6'2", 190lbs) to work in the boxing ring the past year and a half, and has done quite well! He was the Montana 190lbs light-heavyweight champion last year, and as of last night held a record of 17-2. As a result, he's gotten some much-deserved publicity from the local media, and has developed quite a following in the Billings Club Boxing circuit.
Here is a recent story on a prelude to last night's major rematch against a seasoned fighter who Bryant "lost" to last year.
Who won the rematch? You can read the results for yourself.

Real Beauty
The Dove company has been running a campaign for "Real Beauty" among woman.
While I disagree from a Biblical basis with the campaign's premise that all women need is more self-esteem to conquer their problems with self-image, I appreciate Dove's efforts to expose false-ideals of physical beauty perpetuated in our media culture.
Case in point: Check out this revealing video on Dove's website. It really takes the "super" out of supermodel....

A Real Bear
Congratulations to Brynn for doing quite well on her first-ever marathon! Yep, that's 26.2 miles, folks--a LOT of oranges! The "Two Bear Marathon" took place on 17 September 2006 in Whitefish, Montana---and it wasn't over paved streets the whole way like Boston. This one traversed rough mountain trails. Brynn prepared all summer for the test, and turned out a great performance, finishing third in her age group with a time of 4 hours, 26 minutes. She set a goal of finishing in 4 hours but was hindered by a tweaked knee due to some of the trail running.
Great job Brynn! By they way, you're crazy!

The Power of God
Check out this captivating illustrated presentation of the gospel that I stumbled onto (in the bathroom stall--a very effective place to place a gosepl tract, by the way).
It's from a company called chick.com.
